Who we are

Our registered office is BusinessHeads Ltd, 23 Old Steine, Brighton, BN1 1EL.  Our company number is 6874035. Our telephone number is 01273 763986. Our email address is contact@florestine.com.  Our website address is www.florestine.com.

Our prices

All prices quoted on our site are exclusive of delivery charges.  VAT (Value Added Tax) at the current UK rate of 17.5% is included in the prices displayed on our site.  If you wish to see equivalent prices in euros (€) or US dollars (US$) simply click on the currency flag at the top of the screen and the € or US$ price will be displayed instead of the £ sterling price.  All purchases are transacted in £ sterling.

If you are based outside the European Union, VAT will be automatically deducted from the cost of your order.  However you may be liable for import duties and taxes as applicable in your own country.  Florestine cannot predict or control what these charges may be and will not be liable for their payment.  For further information, please contact your local customs office prior to placing your order with us.

Delivery charges are added to the cost of the goods ordered as per our delivery charges policy.

Florestine reserves the right to amend prices without giving prior notice.

Placing your order

By placing an order via our website you are making an offer to florestine to purchase the goods detailed in your order under the terms described in your order and on our website.  Once your order has been placed we will send you an email confirmation that your order has been received.  This is not a confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods has been accepted.  All orders are subject to acceptance and availability of the goods ordered.   We reserve the right to refuse any order placed by you.

A contract between you and florestine for the purchase of our products only exists once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched to you.

Payment

We welcome online payment in a secure environment with the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, Electron, Maestro and Solo.  Please note that all credit and debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.  Payment will be taken from your card when the goods are dispatched. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be able to proceed with the transaction and will not be held liable for any delay or non-delivery of the goods ordered.

Availability and Delivery

We hold as much stock as we can to ensure that we can fulfil your order as soon as possible.  In the vast majority of cases orders are dispatched within two working days and arrive within ten working days (typically five working days).   If our stock of a particular item runs out, we remove this item from our website until new stock has been delivered at which time we redisplay the item on the website.

If, as we process your order, we discover that any items you ordered are not available, we immediately inform you by email.

Delivery is deemed to take place when the goods are delivered to the customer’s nominated address.  Once delivery has taken place, the risk of loss, breakage, damage and all other risks pass to the customer.

Special Handmade Items

One of our distinguishing features is that many of the articles we sell are handmade by artisans.  Inevitably, these artisans have limited production capacity - which is what makes their objects so lovely, so desirable and so popular with you!  With a select group of our partner artisans, whose items we really love, we keep product information available on the site even if there are occasional stock shortages, so you can still order pieces to be handmade for you.  With these special products, we advise you of the time required to hand-make your order.  Of course, if our quoted manufacturing time is longer than you would like, you have the option of not proceeding with your order.

With the exception of special handmade items (see above), if florestine is unable to deliver goods within 30 days of the date you placed your order, you can cancel the order and any monies paid to florestine in respect of goods ordered but not delivered within 30 days will be refunded.  To cancel an order, you must notify florestine in writing before the goods have been delivered or before florestine has notified you that the goods are ready for delivery.

Title

Ownership of the goods passes to the customer once payment for the goods is received in full by florestine.

Cancellation

You may normally cancel your order (once it has been accepted by us) for any reason up to the point of despatch.  If you cancel your order within this period any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days.

Returns

If you are not entirely happy with the products you have chosen you may return them to us within seven working days of receipt.  We will be pleased to offer you an exchange or, if you wish, a refund, provided that the products are returned to us complete, in perfect condition, clearly unused, unwashed and with their original packaging.  We cannot accept items for refund or exchange if they are not in perfect condition or have been used or washed.

For all returns, except in those cases where the goods are faulty, you are required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to florestine.  We will only refund the costs of return postage where the goods are faulty.  To return any products to us, please complete the returns section of your invoice (delivered with your order) and clearly mark whether you want a refund or an exchange.  Repack the items carefully in the parcel, attach the invoice and send it back to us at florestine, 4 Bartholomews, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1HG.

Florestine cannot be held responsible for parcels lost in transit. We therefore strongly recommend that you obtain proof of posting when making a return.

Conformity of Goods

We take every care possible to ensure that all product descriptions are correct on our website.  However product specifications on our website are not intended to be binding but to give a general description of the products.  In particular, many of our items are handmade by artisans so slight variations in finish and colour are an intrinsic part of the product as they render each product unique.  The colours reproduced on our website are as close a representation as possible of the actual colours of the products but we cannot accept any responsibility for colour variation caused by your browser software or your computer software.

Errors and Omissions

Florestine makes every effort to ensure that descriptions and prices quoted on its website are accurate.  In the case of an obvious error or omission, florestine will contact the customer as soon as the error is noticed.  In such cases, florestine reserves the right to rescind the contract and limits its liability to the return of any money the customer has paid.

Law

Your use of our website and the terms and conditions of our website are governed by English law.  By using our website you are agreeing to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English court.   Our website and terms and conditions have been designed for the United Kingdom and to conform to UK law.  We are pleased to supply goods to customers outside of the UK but our website is not designed to conform to non-UK laws and regulations that apply in other countries.
